There are thousands of amazing places to eat but here are a few of my favorites that I got to go to:

Biscayne Tavern (good place if you want something casual), Cecconi (perfect if you have a special occasion, the setting is beautiful!), La Savina- Le Mondrian Hotel (one of my favorite places in the city! great place to go for a date), Shake Shack (the famous New York burger joint has finally made it's way down south to Florida, and we are loving it!),  D'vine Lounge Bar (great place to chill and smoke hookah after doing some shopping on Lincoln Road Mall- recommend the Lychee Mojito....yummy), Segafredo Brickell (great place to start off the night, there is also the Spazio nightclub right next door if you want something more lively), Area 31 (Located in the Epic Hotel, good place to go after work to get drinks), Ceviche 305 (if you are in the mood for Peruvian food, I highly recommend it. They serve large portions, so you probably want to split a dish),  World of Beer (if you are a beer enthusiast, this is the place to go, they serve beers from all over the world, plus they let you order food from restaurants nearby that will deliver it right to your seat), LA Sweets (my go-to place for cupcakes!), Deli Lane Cafe & Tavern (great place to go for brunch).

If you do not want to go out, you can order online at various restaurants at: Eat24 (http://miami.eat24hours.com/)

South Florida offers a variety of attractions, here are some of my recommendations if you are planning on staying in Miami for a few days: Boat tours (there are different options, you can book a private tour on speedboat, or if you don't mind sharing a boat for an excursion, you can always go visit some islands: http://www.islandqueencruises.com/sightseeing.htm), Cruises (Miami and Fort Lauderdale are famous port destinations where many cruises depart of. Here is a list of all cruises departing out of Miami: http://cruisesdeparting.com/miami.html), Everglades (the largest subtropical wilderness in the United States: http://www.nps.gov/ever/index.htm), Planetarium (in the Miami Museum of Science: http://www.miamisci.org/www/eventsplan.html), Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden (http://www.fairchildgarden.org/), Hop-on Hop-off bus (good way to see the city:  http://eng.bigbustours.com/miami/home.html), Drive up to Key West, South Beach Miami, Salsa Lessons (in the famous YUCA Lounge: http://www.yuca.com/salsa.htm).

If you are a night-owl then Miami is the place for you. Find exactly what you are looking for here: http://www.miamiandbeaches.com/things-to-do/nightlife
