Featured Artist: Richard Caldicott
Employing traditional analog photography methods, British photographer Richard Caldicott produces a collection of stunningly beautiful, abstract works, deriving influence from iconic minimalism to pop re-appropriation. Beginning in the 1990’s, with a series featuring Tupperware, Caldicott challenges photographic codes of representation with new symbolic intentions. He continues to explore use of geometric, structured compositions, redefining a sense of space, trajectory and movement. Richard Caldicott’s work has been acquired in several significant public and private collections, including the Peter C. Ruppert Collection; Museum im Kulturspeicher, Germany; Goss-Michael Foundation, Dallas, TX; Goldman Sachs International, London; Kunstmuseum Bonn, Germany; Sir Elton John Collection, Los Angeles /London.
