9 Principles that can dramatically change your life
The human mind is incredibly powerful. It can either take you to great heights in life, or it can lead you down the path of despair.
If you understand the principles that govern the mind, you can take control of your mind and have it take you wherever you want to go in life. If you don’t, then your mind will take control of you.
1. ONE THING AT A TIME
Your mind can only concentrate on one thing at a time. It can’t hold two thoughts concurrently.
At any given time, your mind is either holding a positive or a negative thought. This means that your mindset is either going in a positive or a negative direction. It has no ability to tread water.
The more you think about something, the more you bring it about. Knowing this, whenever a negative thought enters your mind, expel it before it gets out of control.
2. IT’S NOT WHAT YOU SAY
What people say to you is not important. It’s what their words cause you to think that influences your actions.
This is important if you want to influence people through sales or copywriting. The words themselves do not determine the effect. The thoughts that come about in the person reading or hearing them are what determine the effect.
3. THE SUBCONSCIOUS MIND
The subconscious mind is the source of all mental power. Your habits and your attitudes are stored in your subconscious mind, and these are what influence your actions.
4. THE CONSCIOUS MIND
The subconscious mind moves you to do whatever the conscious mind is picturing. That’s why it’s important to create an environment that’s positive and centered on the way you want to live.
Use a vision board or surround yourself with people you aspire to. Then, these positive thoughts fill your conscious mind until they filter through to your subconscious mind.
5. PERFORMANCE MATCHES THE SELF IMAGE
Self image and performance are always equal. That means that we always act in line with our self image. If you don’t think of yourself as an entrepreneur, you won’t do the things that an entrepreneur does, and you won’t get the results you want.
6. THE SELF IMAGE CAN BE CHANGED
The good news is the self image can be changed. It’s the cumulative effect of all your life experiences. The more you surround yourself with the reality you want, the more it will change your self image.
If you don’t do this, there will always be a gap between where you are and the results you want.

The most harmonious state of being is the state of being the person you are destined to become. When you do the things that person would do, your self image will change. Then, new habits and attitudes will develop and results will happen.
Often, this means stepping outside of your normal environment. Attend events, surround yourself with people you aspire to and experience a different reality.

The more you think about something, the more likely it will happen. Reinforce and repeat your thoughts to turn them into reality.
Also, write things down with a pen. It’s far more powerful than making a note on your computer or phone. It will bring your thoughts one step closer to reality.

Finally, the self image can not tell the difference between what actually happens and what is vividly imagined. If you focus on a thought and create a vivid enough picture of it, you can will it into reality.
