How To Be Unstoppable
What if you could be unstoppable?
What if no difficulty, no setback, no obstacle slowed down your progress? What if you could simply knock every obstacle out of your way and keep humming along until you reach your goal?
What if you could set any goal you fancy, no matter how big, and reach it effortlessly?
THE RIDER AND THE ELEPHANT
Picture a rider on an elephant. The rider represents your rational goals and the elephant represents your emotional self.
Although the rider might say, “I want to make $100,000 in the next 12 months” or “I want to jog every morning,” the rider is at the elephant’s mercy.
Tonight, you may tell yourself that you’re going to go for a run at 5:00 a.m. tomorrow morning. But when tomorrow comes around, you hit the snooze button and you don’t follow through on that commitment.
The rider may give directions, but if the elephant says no, it will take the rider wherever it wants to go.
This is how most people live their lives. They set good goals, but their emotions then sabotage those goals and they don’t make any lasting change.
TO BE UNSTOPPABLE, ENGAGE THE ELEPHANT
If the rider is to reach the desired destination, the elephant must be in agreement about that destination.
The bad news is that setting good goals is not enough. You have to engage the elephant. In other words, you have to align your emotions to your rational goals if you have any hope of reaching them.
The good news is that once the elephant is engaged, and your emotions are focused on the right goals, they can take you all the way to success.
This is the number 1 secret to success. Once you align your emotions with your goals, all your other concerns fly out the window. You will be unstoppable.
You will no longer worry that you don’t have the skills, or you don’t know the lingo, or you don’t have the money, or you don’t know the right people. If you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe, those concerns will no longer seem insurmountable. They will become minor inconveniences that are easily solved.
Nothing will impede you from your goals once the elephant is in agreement with the rider.
