As an Interior Designer by trade and a traveler her whole life, she has been able to merge her passions of design, luxury and travel to create a career. She has traveled the world and has a deeper appreciation for unique products and craftsmanship. She started Galiatea by sourcing global craftsmen whose skills have been passed down generations to create a new contemporary line of high-end furniture and accessories. She believes our homes should reflect our values, personalities and uniqueness and each piece created under her line is hand made for each specific client- thus the products are as unique as the people who own them!

As an award winning furniture designer, she showcased her collections in some of the world prominent trade shows such as Salone del Mobile, Top Drawer, the Hotel Show in Dubai, etc… Through Galiatea, Sophia wants to redefine the notion of luxury and to free it from the confines of the mainstream brands as it focuses on quality materials and authentic generational savoir-faire. She also aims at safeguarding cultural heritage while promoting social consciousness about artisan communities worldwide.

Through Galiatea Experiences, she seeks to be a bridge between cultures and connect people on a deeper level.
